Detroit morning radio show Mojo in the Early morning posted pictures of Fakih competing its 2007 "Stripper 101" competition. For the competition, strippers showed female listeners some moves and the "finest student" was the grand-prize winner. Matching to the station, only women were being in attendance and the performers have been all completely clothed.
The pics, which the station stated have been circulating on their webpage for several years, show Fakih dancing thoroughly clothed and with dollar bills stuffed in her bra right after winning the opposition.
The radio station says it was all in very good enjoyment, but Mojo in the Early morning wrote on its webpage Monday that Miss USA officials contacted them "requesting additional photographs and information" related to Fakih's involvement in the competition. When the show's producers asked pageant officials if the design would impact Fakih's subject, they wouldn't response.
"Mojo in the Morning entirely supports Rimah Fakih as she represents Detroit and America in the Miss Universe competition," a Mojo staffer emailed Celebrity Circuit. "The radio demonstrate will not entertain requests to drag her name by means of the mud."
According to a report posted on TMZ.com, Fakih earned prizes which include "jewelry, gift cards, adult toys and a stripper pole for dwelling use" after winning the levels of competition.
Other beauty queens have gotten in trouble and been ready to keep their crowns. Miss USA 2006 Tara Connor virtually shed her title above underage drinking and difficult partying, but she entered a drug rehabilitation plan and was allowed to preserve her crown.
Even so, Miss Nevada 2007 Katie Rees lost her crown soon after scandalous pictures of her surfaced on the Web.
Partly nude pictures of 2009's Miss California Carrie Prejean didn't trigger her to shed her name (Prejean claimed the photographs were being legitimate modeling). But pageant officials afterwards terminated Prejean's contract right after she built reviews against gay marriage. Pageant officials proclaimed she didn't keep up her end of the pageant agreement. Prejean proclaimed she endured discrimination for her views. Dueling lawsuits ended up settled out of court.
